First stage
Diocesan Caritas Aiquile, created in 1972, develops food programs financed by the government of the United States of America as a non-governmental body.

Second stage
From 1987, while still operating food programs, Diocesan Caritas of Aiquile begins to carry out the activities of a pastoral branch of the Christian community.

Third stage
Diocesan Caritas of Aiquile purposedly stops food programs to exclusively operate in social activities as dicatated by the Caritas philosophy.
